Spicy Popcorn Recipe
Sweet and Hot Seasoned Popcorn
- In a heavy-bottomed, six-quart saucepan (or larger), place:
- 3-4 TBS vegetable oil
- several kernels popcorn
- When the kernels pop, add all at once:
- 1/4 cup popcorn kernels
- Cover and pop, shaking frequently.
- Pour the popped corn into a large paper bag and add:
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- pinch hot red pepper powder
- Shake and serve.
